Banker, player, and tie

I've never played baccarat, but I've heard it talked about in terms of betting on banker, player, or tie. Is this pretty much all there is to it? Do you just bet on one of the three and wait for the outcome?

From what I have heard, betting on the banker hand is actually better than betting on the player hand.

According to research, the banker bet wins 45.86℅ of the time compared to the player's 44.62℅, when all hands are considered.

The remaining 9.52℅ normally results in ties.

Based on those percentages, why would anyone ever choose tie? With banker and player taking up almost 90% between them, tie seems like all odds are against it.

I also don't understand why anyone would choose a tie but I guess there are other factors that players like to consider.

I am yet to start playing Baccarat but it should be soon.

I've never played baccarat, but the only thing I can figure is that tie, when it happens, must be one heck of a payout. That's the only thing that would make taking a chance on it worth it.

I agree with you . I am still getting my feet wet in regards to Baccarat but it only makes sense for a gambler to settle on a tie if it has a huge payout.

However, real pros believe that the last bet you can ever go for is the tie.
