Mostly aesthetic and timing changes to improve the game. For instance, in Double Pay there is often confusion about whether you are in the deal or draw state (since it awards wins on the deal) and this sometimes results in people hitting "draw" when they should be holding cards, if you are playing quickly. In Deal Draw, if you press draw without holding anything, you are prompted with a quick message to make sure that's what you wanted to do.In all mathematical ways, the games are essentially the same I believe. It's probably better to think of Deal Draw as an improved version of Double Pay, rather than an entirely different game.

Thank you Webman. I need to talk about this game on my radio show tonight and until your post hadn't been able to get a clear explanation of how the games were different
I played and enjoyed the original version, and while the new one is an improvement I find it difficult to get into any kind of rhythm playing it, a sentiment that I saw repeated by a few others in the game chat. There is just so much visually going on that it can be somewhat confusing.
I had a couple of idea's that I thought might reduce or eliminate that.
1) "grey" the top 2 hands of the initial deal. They would still be visible but not as obtrusive, and that would also virtualy eliminate the problem of not knowing what stage of the game you were in.
2) Instead of having the "deal" win placed directly over the hands where it is distracting when you select your cards for the draw, place them to the right or left of the hand. They would still be visible, but not blocking the hand.
I realize it is probably too late and that some people might not find these to be "improvements", but I also figured it wouldn't hurt to post them.

Like you said, it's probably too late since the game is already in wide release. But I think these are all good insights and perhaps they will be useful for future versions or other games with similar concepts.
