I read a thread here where someone stated that there is a strategy which involves waiting for machines while other people played and then playing on those machines afterwards as this increased the odds of hitting the jackpot. Is this a real strategy or is it just another bogus belief that some people hold?

Not sure about hitting "The Jackpot" but beating a machine in certain conditions is not a bogus belief but requires specific machine knowledge and lots of work.

I agree with you! I think slots are a game of chance, so it really depends on your luck. I believe there is no such thing as a good strategy to win the jackpot on those games
