Maximizing potential returns

Is there any advice that anyone here could give me about making the most of my time spent playing the slot machines and possibly maximizing the returns from playing?

I don't think that there are any fool proof ways to win on the slot machines, but there are certainly ways of improving your odds. I think you should read up on some of the strategies that most people here use and try them out for yourself to see which one works for you.

If you're playing slots, all you can do is try to improve your chances. Choose one with a high rate of return. Some of the older machines actually have this labelled in the small print on the outside, but be careful of crawling round the sides to check labels as casinos don't like it. Higher denomination machines often have better odds. (Or you could just check the coin trays on each!)

I have never had much luck when it comes to slot machines. I don't really believe that anyone can consistently win at them and I doubt there is any system one could use to do so. I would love to be proved wrong, though.
