Video Poker Rules

I love that you actually have some control over the outcome when it comes to video poker through the game play choices that you can make but the rules are still a little murky to me. For example, if there are multiple games in the machine, do all the games use the same deck?

I've heard that video poker offers some of the best odds in the casino. I personally haven't played the game but I would be very interested in learning if someone could condense the rules for me.

I am guessing that they do use the same deck. Of course I'm not an expert and I hope someone here will correct me if I'm wrong. What other games do they have, just out of curiosity?
